Construction of a new kitchen and 400-seat dining hall entirely air-conditioned and fitted according to the standards of the Ministry of National Defence. Eight hundred meals an hour are served, i.e. 400 meals every 30 minutes. This entire facility covers a total area of approximately 20,000 square feet. This new kitchen also sought to meet LEED SILVER criteria with electromechanical systems optimized in terms of energy efficiency. Therefore, heat from cold room compressors is recovered to heat domestic water and supply heat pumps in winter.
